Recently, I saw an advertisement for watercolor markers by Arteza.  Watercolor is not my main medium, oil is.  I've never really painted in watercolor, but I went ahead and ordered a set of markers on Amazon, receiving them yesterday.

Having some extra time in the studio this afternoon, I opened the box of markers and got to work playing.  It always feels great to create just for the fun of it -- and I was doing just that and having fun!

It'll take me a while to figure out all of the wonderful, artistic things I can do with the watercolor markers, but the process of experimenting and learning is always fun, too!  And, hopefully there will be lots of happy mistakes along the way.

So, working from memory (the berries in the turquoise glass vase are actually on my kitchen counter), I created my first piece of art, "Holiday Berries."
